Newark, NJ – Six Killed in Collision at Rte 1 and 9 S
Newark, NJ (December 7, 2024) – A fiery crash in the Newark area on Friday, December 6, ended in six fatalities. The fatal accident took place near the Route 1 and 9 S. interchange late that night around 11 p.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
At this time, the circumstances leading to the deadly accident have not been determined. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present, and six people were later confirmed dead.
