Mountainside, NJ – Two Hurt In Rollover At NJ-22 & Lawrence Ave

Mountainside, NJ (March 27, 2024) – Two people were hurt after a vehicle collision in the area of Mountainside on Monday, March 25. The crash was reported at the corner of NJ-22 and Lawrence Avenue that afternoon at around 4:30 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene of a crash involving an overturned vehicle.

Local sources revealed that a 69-year-old Somerset woman was driving a 2012 Honda was traveling westbound shen she made an abrupt lane change to avoid hitting another vehicle. In the process of veering lanes, the Honda hit a 2024 Acura driven by a 46-year-old Bridgewater woman. The impact caused the Honda to overturn. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The driver of the Honda was issued two motor vehicle summons related to the incident. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
