Pedestrian Accidents in New Jersey

Manchester, NJ - Local Man Hurt in E-Bike Crash on Commonwealth BlvdInnocent pedestrians crossing the street are struck by irresponsible drivers every day, resulting in serious and often fatal injuries, second only to car-to-car crashes. These accident victims are far too frequently elderly people or helpless children. The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) reports that 176 pedestrian fatalities occurred in 2019 and 179 in 2020. Nevertheless, there were 220 pedestrian fatalities in 2021—a sharp increase from the previous year. That is an increase of about 23 percent in just one year.
