Manchester, NJ – Injuries in Head-on SUV Crash on NJ-70

Manchester, NJ (June 8, 2024) – There were injuries reported after a head-on crash in the Manchester area on Wednesday, June 5. The accident took place on NJ-70 near mile marker 34.5 late that night, around 11:25 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 61-year-old Browns Mills man was traveling westbound in an SUV on the highway when he crossed into eastbound traffic to pass another vehicle.

The driver crashed head-on with an oncoming SUV driven by a 22-year-old man from East Windsor, despite both drivers attempting to avoid the impact. The second SUV spun clockwise and crashed into a tree. The driver of that SUV was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance in critical condition. The other driver sustained minor injuries and refused treatment. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
