Linden, NJ – Scooter Rider Killed In Crash At Wood Ave & Gibbons St
Linden, NJ (March 21, 2024) – A man on an electric scooter was killed after a traffic accident in the Linden area on Wednesday, March 20. The deadly crash occurred at the crossing of N. Wood Avenue and Gibbons Street that afternoon at around 2:30 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary medical aid.
Local reports revealed that a Roselle man was riding a scooter when he was hit by a driver attempting to make a left turn at the intersection. The man was trapped underneath the vehicle, and emergency crews had to lift the car to free him. The injured party was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld, and no one else was injured in the accident. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
