Fatal Car Accidents in New Jersey

Accidents occur frequently in our state due to driver error. When motorists fail to operate their vehicles in a safe manner, they place the lives of other people at risk. Unfortunately, these accidents take the lives of hundreds of people every year in New Jersey.

A significant number of vehicle accidents that we see in New Jersey are caused by drivers who are impaired, speeding, or distracted. These acts of negligence can lead to crashes in various ways.

Drivers who are speeding are at an increased risk of losing control of their vehicles. When traveling in inclement weather, around curved roadways, or in congested areas, this can be particularly dangerous.

When drivers are impaired by drugs or alcohol, they may not be able to respond in time to avoid crashing into other vehicles nearby. They may lack the ability to make good decisions while behind the wheel or even may fall asleep while driving.

Drivers who are distracted are also one of the most common causes of crashes here in New Jersey. When drivers are texting on their phones or talking to other people in their vehicles, their attention is not on the road ahead. As a result, they are likely to miss out on seeing other vehicles in the area. Driving while distracted is particularly dangerous when proceeding through busy intersections, in congested areas, and in areas where a lot of pedestrians are nearby.

Unfortunately, many of the accidents that take place in our state are completely preventable. If you have lost a loved one in a car crash as a result of another driver’s negligence, a wrongful death lawyer in Lebanon Township can help you seek financial compensation for your damages.
