Lacey Township, NJ – Route 9 Crash near Sunrise Blvd Ends in Injuries

Lacey Township, NJ (May 5, 2023) – At least one person was left injured following a car crash that took place in Lacey Township on Wednesday evening, May 3.

At around 8:50 p.m., the police and firefighters in Lacey Township were called to the scene of a crash that took place on Route 9.

Reports indicate that an allegedly impaired driver in a pickup truck crashed their vehicle into the rear of a second vehicle on Route 9 at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard. The incident prompted officials to shut down the intersection as they provided assistance at the scene.

Injuries were confirmed as a result of this crash. Medics were called to the scene to care for injured victims before transporting them to area hospitals.
