Jersey City, NJ – Three Hurt in Collision at MLK Dr & Stegman St

Jersey City, NJ (May 18, 2024) – Three people were hurt following a car accident in the Jersey City area on Friday, May 17. The accident was reported at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Stegman Street that morning around 11 a.m. Local reports revealed that a patrol car was involved in the crash. 

It was later revealed that the driver of another vehicle was traveling home and making a left turn at the intersection. That is when a police car crashed into it and spun out on the roadway. The incident caused a chain-reaction crash involving several parked vehicles. Emergency crews were present to provide the necessary aid. Three people, including two police officers, were hospitalized for treatment. No additional information on the incident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
