Irvington Township, NJ – Vitina Stern Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on Clinton Ave
Irvington Township, NJ (August 4, 2023) – Authorities out of Essex County confirmed that a female died as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred in the Irvington Township area on Wednesday morning, August 2.
At around 4:30 a.m., the police and firefighters were called to the site of an automobile accident that occurred on Clinton Avenue.
Reports from the Acting Essex County Prosecutor, Theodore N Stephens, II, show that Vitina Stern was struck by a garbage truck in the 100 block of Clinton Avenue during the early morning hours.
Stern was severely injured due to the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene just after 5:20 a.m. due to the severity of her injuries.
At this time, the crash is being investigated.
