Hasbrouck Heights, NJ – Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Route 17

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ (February 9, 2023) – A motor vehicle collision took place on Tuesday morning in Hasbrouck Heights that sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. The accident was reported at around 9:30 a.m. on February 7.

According to law enforcement, an SUV and multiple other vehicles collided on Route 17 during the morning hours. The incident caused delays near the White Castle jug handle. The SUV involved in the accident flipped over.

The Hasbrouck Heights Police Department responded to the scene and secured the roadway. The incident blocked both the north and southbound lanes, causing delays in traffic.

Emergency medical services responded to care for multiple victims who suffered injuries. Three victims were transported to area hospitals for further medical care.

One of the involved drivers was issued a summons by the police for reckless driving and not having insurance.
