Franklin Twp, NJ – Man Dies in Head-on Crash at Amwell & S Middlebush Rd

Franklin Twp, NJ (October 17, 2024) – On Tuesday, October 15, a man was killed and two others injured after a head-on crash in the area of Franklin Township. The fatal accident took place at the crossing of Amwell Road and S. Middlebush Road early that morning around 7:25 a.m. For unknown reasons, 31-year-old Alex Folnagy was driving near the intersection when he collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving measures, Folnagy sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the Jeep were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. The circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been determined. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
