Deadly Stop Sign Crashes in New Jersey

Traveling through an intersection is far from safe. While most of us enter crossroads everyday when we drive, these areas can be particularly dangerous. Statistics show that almost 40 percent of crashes occur at intersections, and these accidents make up roughly 50 percent of injury collisions and 20 percent of traffic fataliites on averages. Stop signs and traffic lights can only do so much to prevent a crash, and they are ineffective when drivers fail to follow them. Statistics show that there are more than 700,000 collisions reported annually at stop sign controlled intersections, and many of these end in fatal injuries.
