Evesham Twp, NJ – Boy Fatally Hit in Pedestrian Crash on NJ-73

Evesham Twp, NJ (October 18, 2024) – On Wednesday, October 16, a child was killed after being struck by a motor vehicle in Evesham Township. The deadly crash took place on NJ-73 near Holtec Drive that afternoon around 12:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that the three-year-old victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by a southbound vehicle. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The injured pedestrian was taken to Cooper Hospital in critical condition. It was later revealed the following day that the victim succumbed to his injuries. The driver, an 81-year-old man from Cherry Hill, remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The child was reportedly traveling with an adult outside of a car at the time of the crash. No further information on the incident is currently available. However, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
