Egg Harbor Twp, NJ – Man Killed in Wrong-way Crash on Blackman Rd

Egg Harbor Twp, NJ (December 18, 2024) – On Monday, December 16, a man was killed after a wrong-way collision in Egg Harbor Township. The deadly accident took place near Blackman Road between Brookside Drive and Meadow Drive late that night around 9:03 p.m. It was later reported that 38-year-old Oriel Dixon of Egg Harbor Township was traveling north on Blackman Road in a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer when he reportedly crossed the center line. 

Dixon continued traveling north in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2015 Honda CRV  driven by 72-year-old Joseph Natale. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Natale was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His 28-year-old passenger was also hospitalized for treatment. Dixon was arrested for driving while impaired and reportedly had a juvenile in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Both were treated for sustained injuries. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
