Edison, NJ – Man on Scooter Fatally Hit on NJ-1 at Plainfield Ave

Edison, NJ (May 17, 2024) – A local man was killed after a traffic accident in the Edison area on Wednesday, May 15. The deadly incident was reported on NJ-1 near Plainfield Avenue early that morning around 1:45 a.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was riding a scooter crossing southbound when he was hit by the oncoming motor vehicle.

It was reported that a sport utility vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Rahway man was heading to work when he hit the rider.
