Camden, NJ – Woman Dies in Hit-&-Run at Tulip St & 7th St

Camden, NJ (September 28, 2024) – On Wednesday, September 25, a woman was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Camden area. The deadly crash took place at the corner of Tulip Street and 7th Street that afternoon around 3:21 p.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was traveling on foot when she was struck by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

The suspect driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the involved party. Emergency crews were later dispatched to render aid. The victim, later identified as 41-year-old Carla Mahan, was transported to Cooper Hospital in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead at 4:01 p.m., according to local sources. No information regarding the make of the vehicle or the identity of the at-fault driver has been released. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is underway, and more information will be provided as it continues.
