Brick, NJ – Critical Injuries in Pileup Rear-End Crash on Rte 70

Brick, NJ (December 29, 2024) – There were critical injuries reported after a multi-vehicle collision in Brick Township on Saturday, December 28. The crash took place on Route 70 near Duquesne Boulevard early that morning, around 8:30 a.m. Four vehicles were reportedly involved in the collision. 

It was later reported that the driver of a Volkswagen minivan crashed into the back of a Hyundai Sonata that was stopped at a red light. The impact caused the second car to hit a Ford F-250 pickup truck,k and a Dodge Ram also stopped at the light. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver of the Hyundai was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to Ocean University Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries and later released. No other parties were injured in the crash. No updates on the accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
