Bloomfield Twp, NJ – Two Injured in Collision on Garden State Pkwy

Bloomfield Township, NJ (September 20, 2024) – On Thursday, September 19, two people were injured after a vehicle collision in the area of Bloomfield Township. The accident took place on Garden State Parkway, near mile marker 150.3, in Essex County around 4:25 a.m. 

For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car and hit a guardrail. The driver and passenger were both injured in the collision. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. Both parties were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The severity of the related damages has not yet been determined. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
