Car Accidents in New Jersey

Experiencing a car crash can be an overwhelming and devastating event. Unfortunately, every year in New Jersey, tens of thousands of people are hospitalized with severe injuries that forever alter their lives. Some common injuries reported in accidents throughout the state include:

  • Severe spinal cord fractures resulting in paralysis.
  • Life-threatening internal organ injuries.
  • Traumatic brain injuries leading to memory loss and concentration issues.
  • Severe cuts causing nerve and muscle damage.
  • Severe burn injuries resulting in permanent disfigurement.

Any type of injury can have a significant and long-term impact on the lives of those harmed. Regrettably, many individuals suffer serious harm in accidents caused by reckless and negligent drivers. If you have been injured in a car crash, you may have the ability to take legal action against the responsible party.

In New Jersey, you have the opportunity to seek compensation for your medical expenses, lost earnings, and various other damages. It’s important to note that New Jersey follows the modified comparative negligence doctrine when determining the amount of compensation you can recover. This means that the compensation awarded to you will be reduced based on the percentage of fault you bear for the accident. For this reason, it is crucial to prove the defendant’s fault and demand full compensation for all the damages you have incurred.
