Andover Township, NJ – Bruce Cseh, Andrew Benavente & Two Children Lose Lives in Fiery Crash on Newton Sparta Rd

Andover Township, NJ (May 29, 2023) – The Andover Township police confirmed that 22-year-old Bruce Cseh, 36-year-old Andrew Benavente, a 13-year-old boy, and a 5-year-old girl all lost their lives as a result of a fiery crash that occurred Friday evening, May 26.

At around 4:00 p.m., the police were called to the scene of a crash on Newton Sparta Road.

Reports from authorities indicate that Cseh was driving a 2021 Jeep Rubicon while heading west on the roadway. For reasons unknown, the vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed into a 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to burst into flames.

Three people were trapped in the truck at the time of the explosion. The victims were identified as Benavante and his two children, a 13-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. The three victims became trapped inside the burning vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.

The driver of the Jeep, Cseh, also suffered severe injuries. He was removed from the vehicle and flown to a local hospital, where he passed away from his injuries.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
