Absecon, NJ – Pedestrian Dies in Crash at US-30 & Delilah Rd

Absecon, NJ (September 2, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident outside of Absecon on Sunday, September 1st. The collision took place on US-30 near Delilah Road early that morning, around 3:30 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of a serious pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

The victim was traveling on foot when they were struck by an oncoming motor vehicle. Despite life-saving measures from responding officials, the injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
