Woodbridge, NJ – Seven Hurt In Transit Bus Crash On Port Reading Ave

Woodbridge, NJ (May 1, 2024) – On Tuesday, April 30, seven people were injured after a crash involving an NJ transit bus in the Woodbridge area. The accident was reported on Port Reading Avenue during rush hour. It was later reported that the transit bus was headed eastbound when it rear-ended an Acura, which in turn rear-ended a transit van.

The bus then fell over the embankment following the crash. There were 17 people on board the bus at time, including the driver. Seven were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. It was reported that an infant and a three-year-old were among the injured victims. It is believed that all victims will recover. The area was temporarily closed as emergency responders were present to provide aid to the involved parties. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
