Washington, NJ – Serious Injuries in Pileup Crash on NJ-42

Washington, NJ (August 15, 2024) – One person was hospitalized in serious condition following a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Washington Township on Monday, August 12. The crash took place overnight on NJ-42 near Berlin-Cross Keys Road. Three vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. 

One person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by responding medical personnel. That victim was rushed to Cooper University Hospital In Camden by ambulance in serious condition. The area was closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. It is unknown if any other involved parties required medical support. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
