Warren Twp, NJ – Two Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-78

Warren Twp, NJ (November 8, 2024) – On Wednesday, November 6, two people were killed after a pedestrian accident in Warren Township. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 78 near mile marker 38.7 at around 5:30 p.m. Reports revealed that two men were outside a Toyota minivan on the interstate trying to change a tire. 

The vehicle reportedly got a flat and pulled over. As the two men were outside the minivan, a Mercedes passenger van entered the right shoulder and hit the Toyota, a nearby guardrail, and both pedestrians. Emergency crews were later dispatched to the scene. Both the victims suffered fatal injuries and were later pronounced dead. The identities of the deceased victims have not yet been determined. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
