Vineland, NJ – Two Dead in Motorcycle Crash at Maple Ave & Becker Dr

Vineland, NJ (September 13, 2024) – Two people were killed after a two-vehicle crash in the Vineland area on Thursday, September 12. The fatal accident occurred at the corner of Maple Avenue and Becker Drive near the entrance to the Joseph E. Romano Sports Complex that evening around 6 p.m. A motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle collided at the scene. 

It was later revealed that a 2019 Honda CBR 1000 and a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse were involved in the crash. Local reports revealed that  31-year-old Addiel A. Ortiz of Millville was operating the motorcycle headed eastbound on Maple when it collided with the Chevy, driven by  42-year-old Lauren C. Beisler of Ocean View, who was making a left turn into the sports complex. Ortiz and a nine-year-old passenger in the back of the SUV were killed in the collision. No other injuries were reported in the impact. No further information on the accident is currently available. However, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress, and more updates will be published as the inquiry progresses.
