Upper Freehold Twp, NJ – Several Hurt in Rollover on I-195

Upper Freehold Twp, NJ (October 22, 2024) – On Sunday, October 20, there were multiple confirmed injuries after a rollover crash in Upper Freehold Township. The accident took place on Interstate 195 that afternoon around 3:06 p.m. Local reports revealed that 42-year-old Chaim Nussbaum of Lakewood was driving a Toyota Sienna minivan on the interstate when he lost control near mile marker 13. 

The Toyota veered to the left, over-corrected, re-entered the road, and left the right side. The minivan rolled into a grassy median. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Nussbaum suffered serious injuries. Six other passengers in the Sienna, an adult and five children, were also hurt. All parties were transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. No updates on the collision are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
