Totowa, NJ – Eight Hurt in Transit Bus Crash at Redman Pl & Union Blvd

Totowa, NJ (September 12, 2024) – On Monday, September 9, there were multiple injuries after a crash involving a state transit bus outside of Totowa. The accident was reported that afternoon, around 12:30 p.m., at the intersection of Redman Place and Union Boulevard. The bus had passengers on board when it collided with another vehicle. 

Following the initial impact, the bus struck a nearby utility pole. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. Neither of the drivers involved were injured in the crash, but eight of the 12 passengers on board the bus were transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson for treatment. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
