Car Accidents in New Jersey

Being involved in an accident can have a severe impact on your life. Many people are left with serious injuries that require extensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, we see many people suffer serious injuries as a result of preventable crashes due to the negligence of others. Some of the leading causes of car crashes that we see here in New Jersey include:

  • Drivers who fail to yield: It is critically important that drivers yield to other vehicles. This is especially true when motorists are exiting driveways, merging onto highways, or even switching lanes. When drivers fail to do so, they can cause serious and life-changing accidents.
  • Texting on the phone: Although cell phones are incredibly important when it comes to communicating with others, there is a time and a place for it. Texting while operating a vehicle is incredibly dangerous and is the cause of tens of thousands of accidents every year in our state. Not only do we see many people distracted by their cell phones, but eating and talking to other people in the vehicle can cause serious accidents as well.
  • Running red lights: Disregarding traffic control devices, such as red lights or stop signs, can have deadly consequences. We see far too many accidents take place at busy intersections in our state due to drivers who fail to stop at red lights when they are required to do so.
