Summit, NJ – Pedestrian Injured in Hit-&-Run Crash on Morris Ave near Mountain Ave
Summit, NJ (March 19, 2023) – A hit-and-run pedestrian accident reported in the Summit area left a 28-year-old man injured on Saturday, March 18.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., a 28-year-old male pedestrian was using a crosswalk while crossing the roadway at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Mountain Avenue.
A vehicle passed through the area and struck the man before fleeing the scene of the crash. The vehicle was described as an older model white Dodge Durango.
The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Overlook Medical Center, where he underwent emergency care.
The incident remains under investigation by the city of Summit Police Department.
