Ridgefield, NJ – Teen Dies In Hit-&-Run At Morse & Edgewater Ave
Ridgefield, NJ (April 15, 2024) – A young girl was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Ridgefield area on Sunday, April 14. The collision was reported at the corner of Morse Avenue and Edgewater Avenue late that night around 8 p.m. Local revealed that the victim, a 15-year-old girl, was traveling on foot when she was hit by an oncoming motor vehicle.
The at-fault driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured party. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of a victim lying on the roadway. The injured pedestrian was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead. Local officials are currently gathering evidence from the scene to determine who is at fault for the accident. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
