Rahway, NJ – Several Hurt in DUI Crash at Capobianco Plz & Leesville Ave

Rahway, NJ (September 30, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported after an auto accident in the Rahway area on Saturday, September 28. The crash took place at the corner of Capobianco Plaza and Leesville Avenue near Madden Field. Local reports revealed that a driver struck several vehicles and then attempted to flee the scene. 

Local residents held the driver down until officials were able to arrive. It is believed that they were under the influence. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Six people were transported by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway. No updates on the conditions of the involved parties have been provided. The suspect motorist was in custody, and an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress. More updates will be provided as it continues.
