Joseph “Joe” Coughlan, Esq. represents those who have been injured at work.

Joe knows what it is like to deal with insurance companies when a loved one is suffering and how important it is to have someone on your side.

Throughout his formative years, Joe’s eldest sister battled a serious and ultimately fatal chronic illness. His family had to engage in constant battles with insurance companies to get her the treatment and benefits she deserved. This upbringing taught Joe the value of serving those in need, working hard, and giving back to the community. Early in his career, Joe committed more than a decade in group homes caring for children and adults with severe cognitive conditions.

After graduating from law school with honors, Joe gained valuable experience as an attorney with several notable law firms that served as defense counsel for the insurance companies. It was a place to start, but certainly not where he wanted to stay.

Prior to relocating to New Jersey, Joe founded a small litigation practice in Central Florida.

Joe has brought everything he has learned along the way to GGL. Here, he uses his in-depth knowledge of insurance companies for the benefit of his clients: good, hard-working people like his own family, who just need someone to guide them through complex legal processes.
