Car Accidents in New Jersey

Being hurt in a motor vehicle accident can have an overwhelming impact on your life. Unfortunately, countless people are left with serious injuries due to automobile accidents every single day in our state. In some instances, buses are involved in these accidents. Statistics from 2019 show that more than 263 bus accidents were reported in our state. Many of these accidents result in injuries for those involved.

People who are involved in bus accidents are likely to suffer from injuries that impact their lives forever. These large commercial vehicles can carry a significant number of people at one time, which increases the chances that accidents in which they are involved will result in mass casualties.

After a bus accident, it is important that you take action to protect your legal rights and best interests. Seeking medical attention is critical when it comes to preserving your health and well-being. Additionally, you should seek the assistance of a bus accident lawyer in Manchester as soon as possible. After suffering injuries in a bus accident, you may have legal options available to help you move forward.

In New Jersey, injured parties can take legal action against the person who is responsible for the crash. It is important to understand that New Jersey follows a modified comparative negligence standard when it comes to personal injury claims. This allows victims to recover financial compensation for the damages as long as they are less than 50% at fault for the accident. As such, you are still able to file a legal claim against a driver following an accident so long as they share the majority of fault for the crash taking place.

Insurance companies know this rule and will do everything in their power to shift the blame onto you. For this reason, it is in your best interest to seek legal guidance as soon as possible after your accident. Taking timely legal action can help to ensure that you are better positioned to protect your legal rights and hold the negligent driver accountable.
