Linden, NJ – Two Injured in DWI Crash on I-278 near Morses Mill Rd

Linden, NJ (April 27, 2023) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries following an automobile accident that took place in the Linden area.

The accident was reported at around 7:00 p.m. on April 25.

Reports provided by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau indicate that a 2020 Nissan Altima driven by 45-year-old Leslie Davis was heading west on Interstate 278 during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed into a 1999 Buick LeSabre, which was crossing at the intersection of Morses Mill Road.

Both drivers were severely injured as a result of the crash. The two victims were transported by ambulance to Newark University Hospital for the treatment of injuries.

Davis was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.
