Moped Accidents in New Jersey
Many people think that riding a moped is safer than riding a motorcycle since they are smaller and travel more slowly than motorcycles. But riding a moped might be just as risky for the same reasons. Mopeds are light and narrow, making them difficult to see on the road. A smaller car would be far more difficult for drivers to see. Mopeds also do not have the advantages of passenger car safety. The metal chassis of their car, along with the airbags and seat belts, provide some protection against collision force for drivers. Moped riders are more prone to suffer severe injuries in collisions due to this. In a collision, moped riders are far more likely to sustain permanent injury.
