Jackson Twp, NJ – Woman Dies In Crash At Lakehurst Ave & Toms River Rd

Jackson Twp, NJ (April 11, 2024) – On Tuesday, April 9, a woman was killed after a collision in the area of Jackson Township. The deadly crash was reported at the corner of Lakehurst Avenue and Toms River Road early that morning around 7 a.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was driving on Lakehurst when she stopped at the intersection.

The victim, later identified as 57-year-old Carole Stevenson of Ocean Gate, entered the intersection where she was hit by a Jeep driven by a Jackson man. Stevenson was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where she was later pronounced dead. Stevenson was reportedly a paraprofessional at Spruce Street School and Piner Elementary School in the Lakewood area. No updates on the deadly crash have been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
