Harding Township, NJ – Serious Auto Accident Reported on I-287 near Exit 33 (Harter Rd)

Harding Township, NJ (February 26, 2023) – The police and firefighters out of Morris County responded to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle crash that took place on Friday afternoon and ended with injuries.

At approximately 1:25 p.m. on February 24, calls for assistance were received regarding an accident that occurred on Interstate 287.

Reports from the state police show that a collision blocked the northbound side of the interstate during the afternoon hours. The incident prompted officials to close at least one lane of travel just south of Exit 33 at Harter Road.

A team of paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident to treat the injured victims. At least one of the individuals involved in the incident was sent to a nearby medical facility for further medical treatment.

The incident remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police at this time.
