Hackensack, NJ – Injuries in Rollover Crash at I-80 & Polifly Rd

Hackensack, NJ (August 3, 2024) – On Friday, August 2, there were confirmed injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Hackensack area. The accident was reported at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Polifly Road early that morning around 7 a.m. Two cars collided at the scene, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. 

The driver of the overturned car self-extricated and was able to exit the vehicle. Multiple emergency units were dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid. There was a downed electrical pole in the area, and the involved parties were treated by attending medical personnel. One person was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. The circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been determined. Nonetheless, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress, and more updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
