Gloucester City, NJ – Injury Crash after Pursuit at Morris & Filmore St

Gloucester City, NJ (August 19, 2024) – On Saturday, August 17, there were confirmed injuries after a police pursuit ended in a crash in the area of Gloucester City. The incident took place at the corner of Morris Street and Filmore Street late that night. Police initiated a chase with a suspect vehicle that ended in it hitting another car and crashing into a nearby residence. 

The driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to flee on foot but was chased down and later apprehended. An adult and two children in the other vehicle were injured in the crash. These parties were transported to a local hospital by ambulance for additional treatment. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities were present, and tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris.  No further updates on the accident are currently available.
