Egg Harbor, NJ – Motorcyclist Dies in Collision at W Jersey Ave & Cates Rd
Egg Harbor, NJ (June 2, 2024) ––On Saturday, June 1, a motorcyclist was killed following a collision in the area of Egg Harbor Township. The deadly crash occurred at the intersection of W. Jersey Avenue and Cates Road late that night, around 6:16 p.m. Local reports revealed that 19-year-old Jeremiah Saint Surin, of Egg Harbor, was riding a motorcycle eastbound on W. Jersey Avenue when he collided with a Ford SUV.
It was later revealed that the driver of the Ford, a 38-year-old Egg Harbor Township woman, was traveling northbound on Cates Road approaching a stop sign. The SUV entered the intersection and into the path of the motorcyclist. The two vehicles collided. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. Surin was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. The victim was pronounced dead upon arriving at the hospital. No further information on the fatal accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
