East Orange, NJ – Pedestrian Fatally Struck at Park Ave & Washington St
East Orange, NJ (July 24, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident in the East Orange area on Tuesday, July 23. The deadly crash was reported on Park Avenue between Washington Street and Glenwood Avenue in the Marin Park area that afternoon, around 1 p.m. The incident involved a police pursuit that started in Bloomfield.
Four police cars were reportedly chasing the suspect vehicle as the victim was walking along a sidewalk on Park Avenue. The pedestrian was struck. Local reports revealed that a tan vehicle, a black sedan, and an ambulance were all involved in the collision. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A driver was arrested following the impact. No further information on the deadly collision is currently available.
