Deal, NJ – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train near Roseld Ave
Deal, NJ (June 8, 2023) – A pedestrian has died as a result of a crash that took place on Wednesday morning in Deal. The accident was reported to the police just before 9:00 a.m. on June 7.
Reports from authorities indicate that an adult male pedestrian was struck by a North Jersey Coastline train in the area of Roseld Avenue.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. The incident caused delays on the train line between Elberon and Allenhurst train stations as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that he passed away after arriving.
The crash is currently being investigated.
