Car Accidents in New Jersey

When victims experience significant injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents in our state, they are often required to take extensive time from work in order to recover. Many cases involve injuries that require immediate emergency medical treatment followed by long-term care. The consequences of these crashes extend beyond just physical injuries, affecting victims mentally and financially as well. Unfortunately, many accidents that we see are a result of negligence.

Distracted driving, in particular, has become a significant concern in our state as a result of cell phone use and other distractions both inside and outside of the vehicle. When drivers engage in activities that take their attention from the road, the risk of accidents is significantly increased.

Impaired driving, whether due to alcohol, drugs, or medication, significantly impairs a driver’s judgment, reflexes, and overall ability to operate a vehicle safely. Speeding, another common cause of accidents, reduces the driver’s control over their vehicle and increases the severity of crashes. Reckless driving behaviors, such as aggressive maneuvering, following too closely, and running red lights, also contribute to the frequency and severity of accidents that take place on our roadways.

Failure to follow traffic laws, including yielding the right of way and obeying traffic signals, poses a serious risk to all people sharing the road. These actions can lead to devastating collisions, causing severe injuries and property damage.

In some instances, victims may have legal avenues available to help them move forward and seek justice. It is crucial for injured parties to promptly seek the assistance of a car accident lawyer in New Jersey.
