Branchburg, NJ – Plainfield Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on NJ-22
Branchburg, NJ (November 1, 2024) – On Wednesday, October 29, a Plainfield man was killed after a pedestrian accident in the Branchburg area. The deadly crash took place on NJ-22 near the Red Mill Inn late that night around 8:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 48-year-old man was walking in the middle of the westbound lanes when he was hit by a white Ford Econoline van driven by a 68-year-old Whitehouse station man.
Emergency crews were rushed to the scene, and the victim was found lying on the median in serious condition. Despite life-saving measures from attending medical personnel, the injured pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
